Pack Magik was founded by Nathaniel Gerdes, a lifelong Pokemon fan and seasoned creator with a passion for statistics, finance, and storytelling. What started as a simple tool to give collectors a sobering, data-driven look at their real odds of breaking even when opening Pokemon packs quickly grew into a mission:

About The Founder

Nathaniel Gerdes is a creator and entrepreneur with a diverse background:

Photography & Influencers

Spent a decade leading major influencer trips, creating content for top names like Logic, Loren Gray, and Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom. His work was featured in Forbes, and he helped more than a dozen influencers reach 1M+ followers.

Trading & Analytics

Worked alongside professional traders from the New York Stock Exchange, learning the inner workings of financial markets and applying those lessons to trading and valuation.

Gaming & Data Science

Pivoted into gaming, where he grew a TikTok account to 100K followers (@gerdesofearth) and launched ggs.ai, a Call of Duty analytics platform that processed 5,000+ calculations per weapon to uncover competitive metas.

Pokemon Roots

A collector since childhood, Nathaniel still has his original cards, shiny-hunts in nearly every Pokemon game, and remains deeply connected to the franchise through the TCG, anime, and competitive play.
