Terms & Privacy

By accessing or using Pack Magik ("the Service"), operated by Pack Magik LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We will post notice of material changes on this page and update the "Last Updated" date.

Pack Magik provides:

• Trading card price tracking and market analytics for trading card games including Pokemon (English, Japanese, and Chinese), One Piece, Magic: The Gathering, and Disney Lorcana
• Portfolio and collection management tools
• AI-powered grading predictions, card scanning, and card identification features
• Market indicators including EMAs, RSI, and buy/sell signals
• Historical price data and charts
• A deal feed surfacing third-party marketplace listings
• Price alerts, release calendar, and push notifications
• Pack odds and expected-value tools for sealed products
• Pack battles and other simulated games (for entertainment only — no wagering, no real-money prizes)
• Referral and rewards programs

The Service is provided for informational and entertainment purposes. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data displayed. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time.

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

You retain ownership of content you submit, including collection data, card photos, and grading images ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Pack Magik a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and display such content for operating and improving the Service — including using card and grading images you upload to train and improve our card-identification and grading models.

You represent that your User Content:

• Does not infringe any third-party rights
• Does not contain malicious code or harmful content
• Complies with all applicable laws

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use automated systems to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use
• Resell or redistribute pricing data commercially without authorization
• Manipulate or attempt to manipulate market data or analytics
• Submit false or bad-faith community reports against marketplace listings
• Abuse the referral or rewards programs (including self-referrals, fake accounts, or other schemes to earn credits) — we may revoke credits and rewards obtained through abuse

The Pack Magik name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of Pack Magik LLC. The Service design, features, and original content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Pokemon is a trademark of Nintendo, Creatures Inc., and GAME FREAK Inc. One Piece is a trademark of Shueisha Inc. and Toei Animation. Magic: The Gathering is a trademark of Wizards of the Coast LLC, a subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc. Disney Lorcana is a trademark of Disney and Ravensburger. PSA is a trademark of Collectors Universe, Inc. BGS is a trademark of Beckett Media LLC. CGC is a trademark of Certified Guaranty Company LLC. eBay is a trademark of eBay Inc. TCGplayer is a trademark of TCGplayer, Inc. Pack Magik is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of these entities.

IMPORTANT: Pack Magik is NOT a financial advisory service. All price data, market indicators, buy/sell signals, and analytics are provided for informational purposes only and should not be considered financial, investment, or trading advice.

You acknowledge that:

• Price data is sourced from third parties (eBay, PriceCharting) and may contain errors or delays
• Historical prices do not guarantee future values
• Market indicators (EMA, RSI, buy signals) are algorithmic calculations, not recommendations
• AI grading predictions are estimates and do not guarantee actual grades from PSA, BGS, CGC, or any other grading company
• AI card scanning and identification may misidentify a card, its edition, or its variant — verify any identification and its price before buying or selling based on it
• You are solely responsible for your buying, selling, and collecting decisions

Pack Magik LLC shall not be liable for any financial losses resulting from decisions made based on information provided through the Service.

Pack Magik offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid tiers unlock additional features such as advanced analytics, AI grading credits, and extended price history.

Billing:

• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
• Annual plans are charged as a single payment for the full year
• All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated

Auto-Renewal:

• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
• You will be charged the then-current rate at renewal

Cancellation:

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings (web) or through the Apple App Store / Google Play Store (mobile)
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to paid features until then
• No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period

Refunds:

• Web subscriptions may be eligible for a refund within 7 days of initial purchase by contacting gerdes@packmagik.com
• Subscriptions purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play are subject to those platforms' refund policies

In-App Credits & One-Time Purchases:

• Credits, credit packs, and other one-time digital purchases (such as reroll top-offs) are non-refundable and have no cash value
• Credits do not expire while your account remains active

Physical Products:

• We may occasionally offer physical products for sale (such as group-buy sealed products). Prices include shipping only where stated; shipping charges are otherwise shown at checkout
• Fulfillment and shipping timelines are estimates, not guarantees — group-buy orders in particular may ship on a delayed schedule communicated on the offer page
• Physical product sales are final once the order has shipped, except for items that arrive damaged or that differ from what was ordered — contact us at gerdes@packmagik.com within 7 days of delivery
• If a group buy does not reach its goal or we cannot fulfill an order, we will refund your payment in full

Price Changes:

We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days notice. Price changes will apply at your next renewal date. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.

The Service integrates with third-party platforms and services, including but not limited to:

• eBay (listing data and pricing)
• PriceCharting (historical price data)
• Stripe (payment processing)
• RevenueCat (mobile subscription management)
• Supabase (authentication, data storage, and image storage)
• Vercel (hosting and analytics)
• Sentry (error monitoring and performance)
• Cloudflare (content delivery for card catalog images)
• OneSignal (push notification delivery)
• Resend (email delivery)
• Anthropic (AI-powered card image analysis)

These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services. Links to external sites are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement.

Pack Magik displays listings from third-party marketplaces (such as eBay) and links out to those marketplaces. Pack Magik is not a marketplace and is not a party to any transaction between you and a third-party seller. We do not sell, own, inspect, or ship the items shown in listings, and we do not guarantee the authenticity, condition, availability, price, or accuracy of any third-party listing.

Any purchase you make from a third-party seller is made at your own risk and is governed solely by that marketplace's and seller's terms. Community reports on listings are user-submitted opinions and are not verified by Pack Magik. Pack Magik LLC shall not be liable for any loss arising from transactions with third-party sellers or from your reliance on listing information shown in the Service.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PACK MAGIK LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid to Pack Magik LLC in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
• We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes

You may delete your account yourself at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app. Deletion takes effect after a 30-day grace period, during which you can recover your account by contacting support. You may also request deletion by emailing gerdes@packmagik.com; such requests are processed within 30 days.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in California. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to gerdes@packmagik.com within 30 days of first using the Service. By using the Service past this period, you waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits against Pack Magik LLC.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pack Magik LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pack Magik LLC regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.

Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.

Account Information:

• Email address (required for account creation)
• Username (optional display name)
• Profile photo and bio (optional)
• Password (stored securely hashed)
• Display preferences and notification settings
• Referral attribution (which referral code, if any, brought you to the Service)

Collection Data:

• Cards and products you add to your collection
• Group organization and folder structures
• Purchase prices and dates you enter
• Grading session photos and results

Camera & Card Images:

• Photos of cards you capture or upload when using the scanner and grader tools
• These images are analyzed to identify the card and estimate its grade, and are stored so you can revisit your scans and grading sessions

Payment Information:

• Billing name and address
• Payment method (processed securely by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers)
• Subscription tier and billing history
• App store purchase receipts (processed by RevenueCat for mobile subscriptions)

Usage Data:

• Pages visited and features used
• Search queries within the Service
• Device type, browser, and operating system
• IP address and approximate location derived from it (country, region, and city — we do not collect precise GPS location)
• Referring URLs and exit pages
• Push notification tokens (if you enable push notifications)
• Error and crash reports (collected automatically to improve reliability)

Communications:

• Messages you send us through the in-app contact form or by email

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process and display your collection and portfolio data
• Generate personalized insights and recommendations
• Send service-related communications (account alerts, updates)
• Analyze usage patterns to improve features
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for targeted advertising from third parties.

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a PostgreSQL-based platform with enterprise-grade security:

• Data encrypted at rest using AES-256
• Data encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3
• Row-level security (RLS) policies restrict data access
• Regular automated backups
• Data hosted in secure, SOC 2 compliant data centers

Card photos you capture with the scanner and grader are stored in cloud storage (Supabase Storage) at long, unlisted URLs. These URLs are not published or indexed, but anyone who has the exact link can view the image — so please don't include anything personal in the frame when photographing cards.

While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

• Essential cookies: Session management and authentication state (required for login)
• Preference cookies: Referral attribution and sign-in flow
• Local storage: Your display settings, tool preferences, and drafts are kept in your browser's local storage on your device

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in or using authenticated features.

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to collect basic usage data (pages visited, performance metrics) to improve the Service. We use Sentry for error monitoring, which collects technical data (browser, device, error details) when issues occur; for a small sample of sessions that encounter an error, Sentry may also capture a replay of what was on screen to help us diagnose the problem. Fonts are served by Adobe Fonts (Typekit), which receives standard web request data when fonts load. None of these services are used for advertising. We do not use tracking pixels or cross-site advertising trackers.

We share data with third parties only in these circumstances:

• Service providers: Supabase (database and image storage), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Stripe (payments), RevenueCat (mobile subscriptions), Sentry (error monitoring), OneSignal (push notification delivery), Resend (email delivery), Cloudflare (content delivery for card catalog images) — each processes data only to provide its service
• AI card analysis: Card photos you scan or grade are sent to our card-identification server and to Anthropic's AI API to identify the card and read grading labels. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models
• Legal requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or court order
• Safety: To protect rights, safety, or property of Pack Magik LLC or others
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

We do not display your collection data, grading results, or personal information to other users unless you explicitly choose to make your profile or collection public. Card photos are stored as described in Section 3 (Data Storage & Security). We do not sell your personal information.

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: Update inaccurate information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Restrict processing: Limit how we use your data
• Data portability: Request a machine-readable copy of your personal data
• Object: Opt out of certain data processing activities

You can exercise the most important rights yourself, directly in the app:

• Delete your account: Settings → Delete Account. Your account is scheduled for deletion with a 30-day grace period (during which you can recover it by contacting support), after which it is deleted
• Export your data: Pro subscribers can download their collection and grading history as machine-readable files anytime from Settings → Privacy & Data. On any other plan, email us at gerdes@packmagik.com and we will send you the same files — self-serve export is a Pro convenience, not a paywall on your data rights

For anything else, contact us at gerdes@packmagik.com. We will respond within 30 days.

For California residents (CCPA): You have additional rights including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

For EU/UK residents (GDPR): You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Pack Magik is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the US or other countries where our service providers operate.

By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services:

• Account data: Until you request account deletion
• Collection data: Until you request account deletion
• Usage analytics: Retained to improve the Service
• Card and grading photos: Until you delete them or request account deletion

When you request account deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period during which it can be recovered by contacting support; after that it is deleted. Following deletion, we may retain certain data for up to 90 days for backup purposes and to comply with legal obligations.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Posting the new policy on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date
• Displaying a prominent notice within the Service for significant changes

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
